There are two stages in the Group -2 examinations, Screening test, and Main test.

Screening Test Syllabus and Pattern:

Group -2 Screening test is of qualifying nature only. Marks obtained in this exam are not counted for final selection to the Group -2 services. Only those who qualify this screening test are allowed to take the Mains test. One must try to score more than 100 marks to clear the Screening Test.

Mains Test Syllabus and Pattern:

There are three papers in the APPSC Group -2 Mains exam. Each paper carries 150 marks. Thus, there is a total of 450 marks in the exam. One must try to get more than 330 marks in the Main exam to be on the safe side.

Practicing Previous Years Question Papers is important in the preparation process, as some questions may directly come from them.
